Control Ableton Live's Tempo via MIDI

Question

In Ableton Live, how can I map to the tempo so that my numbers line up?

1. Create a knob
2. Map it to tempo
3. Change the tempo range to be 128 steps from top to bottom. For instance:
   
   
4. Change the MIN and MAX Display Ticks in MIDI Designer to match
   
   
5. That's it!

Cover More Tempos!

You cannot have more steps than 128, but you could have less (use less ticks in MIDI Designer). You could also cover two tempo slots at a time like this:

1. Set your tempo to receive 60 - 314
2. Set your knob to Display Min 60 and Max 314

How Can I Create a Jump to a Specific Tempo?

1. Create a button
2. Make it momentary
3. Make it "send-on only"
4. Make it a supercontrol of your tempo knob
5. In Supercontrol Options, change it to "Force Not Stepper"
6. The MIDI ON value of the button will determine where the subcontrol jumps to. 
7. Using the bottom example, the tempo 120 sends out MIDI value 30, so we set the MIDI on value to 30
   
   
8. That's it!
