I spend most of my time developing layouts in the Design Mode. Almost all of my questions refer to MDP, most recently with Mac OS. It would be nice to be able to select MIDI Designer rather than Other/Unlisted Maker.

You should not put in a manufacturer at all. You do not need to put in other/unlisted.
